Mid-20th Century Triple-Strand Red Coral Necklace

A rare and wonderful triple strand necklace comprised of vivid, deep reddish-orange coral beads - most likely of mid-twentieth century Italian origin. This bright, beautiful and colorful necklace measures 20 inches long, plus the 3/4 inch coral centered 18 karat yellow gold clasp. The two inner strands graduate very slightly, from 4.4 - 4.9 millimeters and 5.1 - 5.7 millimeters, respectively. The larger outer strand graduates from 5.8 - 7.8 millimeters. A gorgeous and disappearing gift from the deep blue Mediterranean.
