Nice example of this pre electronic adding device as first introduced in 1962. This is the original type that was produced in Japan. The pocket sized calculator measures 5-1/4" by 2-1/2" and is complete with its original metal stylus. It has a metal front and red plastic body with six number slots with display holes above and a function bar at the top. The stylus is used to move the numbers in the slots to perform simple math functions. When not in use the stylus used to snap onto the side, but the brackets are cracked so it no longer attaches. The reverse of the body is marked "MADE IN JAPAN". It has a few scratches to the front but remains in used, clean condition.
