This is a British-built Lee-Enfield rifle no4 mk1 in very good authentic condition, stamped faintly No4MK1on the left side of the action, and M/47C 1944 on the butt socket. This example has very good authentic furniture matching and fitting well, with possibly a previous owner's names scratched on the butt. Correct brass butt-plate and most of the original blacked finish to the steel. Fitted with the late war mkIII ladder rear sights, and detachable 10 round magazine, this rifle cocks, dry-fires and is fully strippable, and comes complete with genuine webbing sling and a full clip of inert .303 rounds. No4 'spike' bayonets also available from £30 with no extra postage. Deactivated in the UK with proof-house certificate.
