A Victorian period long case or grandfather clock has beautiful cherub and crown motifs with a signature medallion on its face. American antique 1900s clock We do not know the maker, the brass signature plate is unclear Quarter sawn oak with spiral columns Original crazed varnish has been cleaned and preserved with a coat of clear finish Minor mars & shrinkage separations - see photos Brass hardware is original Beveled and shaped glass Professionally oiled and serviced Eight day brass movement keeps accurate time & gong counts the hour Original brass pendulum, weights and dial Top finials are removable Size is 21 wide, 12.5 deep, and 97.5 tall. Please view 28 photos at full screen size for best detail. This clock needs to be set up after delivery - weights and pendulum attached and the case leveled. Most of our customers can do this as we walk them through the fairly simple steps by phone. The process is not very difficult, and it is also nice to know how to do this again whenever the clock needs to be moved. A few customers prefer to hire a local clockmaker at their own expense to make a house-call and set up the clock, which is usually not very expensive, depending on your location.
