Small Body For Firewall Clearance Requires 11.8 Volts To Operate Modernize your Camaro's ignition system with this Procomp Electronics HEI distributor. As a replacement distributor for small or big block engines, this two-piece small body unit doesn't have the clearance problems of some replacement HEI distributors due to its external coil. With 50,000 volts, an electronic advance and an extremely accurate magnetic pick-up that never requires adjustment, it provides a hotter spark and more reliable, quicker starts than the original points & condenser set-up. The unique spark plug wire retainer top and CNC machined aluminum billet housing give a clean, high-tech appearance. The simple electrical hook-up requires installing a new 12 ga. wire from a fuse block position that is hot when the ignition is on, directly to the positive side of the coil.
