  • COTRIM P.P.M Tablet is used for treatment of infections caused by sensitive micro-organisms: genitourinary tract infections, upper and lower respiratory tract infections, otitis, sinusitis, gastrointestinal tract infections, typhoid fever, Pneumocystis carinii pneumonitis.

    • Ingredient

  • Sulfamethoxazole …………………………… 400mg
  • Trimethoprim …………………………………. 80 mg
  • Excipients: q.s.f ……………………………. 1 tablet

    • Dosage:
    Adult: 2 tablets, twice per day with a 12 -hour interval. In case of severe infections: 3 tablets, twice per day.

    Mode of administration: Oral route.

    Side effects

  • The most common observed: gastrointestinal disturbances (nausea, vomiting) and skin reactions (skin rash, urticaria).
