The claw attaches to the existing zipper pull or to an existing O-ring on decorative zippers. Please note: this pull fits all #4.5 'donut'-style metal zippers, all #5 'ladder'-style metal sliders, and all #3 and #4.5 coil sliders sold by Zipperloft. Use with a #5 donut metal zipper is not recommended due to the wider size of the DA8MSL1 (donut) pull on those zippers which can make the adding or removal of this accessory difficult.
